I have been around horses but never on one. I had no idea what to expect while en route to Hacienda Dona Engracia. Fortunately I was at ease after meeting the family running the place.

After a brief training lesson about how to guide the horses, we were up in the saddle and enjoying the beautiful countryside. Down gravel roads, through the water (and even in the water) we embarked on a magnificent journey. And thanks to the views from the SpeakFree Books Saddle Cam, you can appreciate the clip clop of the powerful horses as we trek through the water.

Later I found some slimy fruit to, well, sample. It might be one of those regional treats to appreciate. It wasn't much for this city slicker!
